I’ve always loved handwriting.

I would go so far as to say I’ve always been obsessed with handwriting. If I got a letter or birthday card in the mail, the first thing I looked at was the writing. What letters did I like the best? Was it messy? Was it beautiful? Did it flow together? Was it cramped and tight? When I got older, I had some jobs where I got to see a lot of forms that people had filled out, and it was those same questions all over again. I was legitimately excited when I saw a particularly different or beautiful bit of handwriting and would show my coworkers who would ooooh and awe with me, (but their eyes never lit up quite like mine).

So when I started seeing ‘hand lettering’ on all my social media accounts, it finally clicked…I should DO that. So, on February 16, 2018, my lettering adventure began, and I haven’t stopped creating since. From lettering I started adding doodles, and it has turned into a love of all types of art. I’ve learned and grown so much since I started lettering, and I can barely believe how far I’ve come. With each piece I create I get a little bit better, gain a little bit of confidence, and I just can’t wait to see where I go from here.
